Who do you call?

4/25/2020 (Permalink)

The rain has been beating on your roof rhythmically, nearly putting you asleep.  There is not much more relaxing than a good Spring rain and watching lightning dance across the sky to end a long day at work.  You shut the TV off and get up to check that the doors are locked.  You go by the basement as you are shutting off the lights and notice something.  Your sump pump has been awfully quiet, you cannot remember it kicking in at all this evening.  You turn on the basement light and head down the stairs just to be sure.  That’s when you see the water around the pool table.  Your night no longer feels relaxing…

A little while later, the sump pump is operational and the standing water is slowly receding.  You look around at the wet carpet, collectibles, furniture and TV.  That’s when you pick up the phone and dial 217-935-2992, “Hello, SERVPRO.”  You start to feel a little more relaxed as the person on the other end greets you warmly, you know everything is going to be ok.

A very good question you might ask is “Why SERVPRO?”  Sure they have friendly people available to help you 24/7, but a lot of companies have that.  Did you know that SERVPRO takes great pride in training their employees so they can assist you quickly and efficiently?  The staff makes sure you know what they are going to do ahead of time and everyone is on the same page.  Great care is taken in extracting the water soaked into the carpet and furniture.  The staff wears “booties” to prevent any stains in the carpet and place blocks underneath the furniture to protect the wooden legs.  They set up state of the art drying equipment to ensure mold is not a future problem.  After everything is done the manager recaps what was done and makes arrangements to check on the drying process until the job is complete.  All excellent reasons to call SERVPRO, maybe the best reason though is standing in front of you.  The staff may be your neighbor, family or a friend as we are local and involved in our community.  That’s Why.... SERVPRO…
